Big Time Gaming (BTG) is an Australian slot studio founded in 2011 by Nik Robinson, based in Surry Hills with an additional office in London. BTG is best known for inventing the Megaways™ engine, first used in its own Bonanza slot in 2016 — a mechanic that randomizes the number of reel symbols (and therefore the number of ways to win) on every spin. Megaways proved so popular that BTG now licenses it to dozens of other studios — Blueprint Gaming’s Fishin’ Frenzy Megaways is one well-known example built by another developer under license — which is why you’ll see the mechanic show up across many different brands. Evolution acquired Big Time Gaming in 2021, and BTG continues to operate as a distinct product brand within Evolution’s slots portfolio. We have not yet published individual reviews of BTG-branded slots on this site — we’d rather leave this page honest than fill it with another studio’s games.
