Simsalabim is a stage-magic themed video slot from NetEnt starring an animated magician who doubles as the game’s wild symbol, set against a backdrop of top hats, rabbits, and a Magic Box scatter. It runs on 5 reels, 3 rows, and 25 paylines, and stands out among older NetEnt titles for carrying one of the higher RTPs in the provider’s library.

Landing three or more Magic Box scatter symbols triggers Simsalabim’s free spins round, awarding up to 30 free spins with a 3x multiplier applied to wins, and the feature can retrigger with further scatter hits. A separate Bonus Game activates when three or more bonus symbols land: players pick from a row of magician’s hats, and the Magician character pulls a prize — sometimes a cash award, sometimes a rabbit — out of each one that’s chosen. Having both a multiplier-boosted free spins mode and a standalone pick-a-prize bonus gives Simsalabim two different paths to extra payouts.
Pros
- 97.5% RTP is notably higher than most other NetEnt slots of its era
- Free spins carry a 3x multiplier and can retrigger for extended play
- Separate pick-a-hat Bonus Game adds a second, different bonus format
- Low-to-medium volatility keeps wins landing at a steady pace
Cons
- Reported max win figures vary significantly across sources, so treat any single number with caution
- Dated visual style with a fairly simple magician theme
- 25 fixed paylines offers less combination variety than ways-to-win slots
